Mineral and Shell Mandala

A mandala represents the cosmos with a concentric configuration of geometric shapes. Here, to create pattern and repetition, we used amethyst, quartz, and orthoceras fossils. The shells used in the piece have come by their rich purple color naturally; they are not dyed, which might compromise the organic integrity of the piece.
